The antenna system is designed for rapid deployment (less than two minutes).
In order to ensure ease of mobility of the antenna system, it is configured to be stored in a carrying case less than thirty-six (36”) inches long and approximately twelve (12”) inches in cross-section. In addition, the combined weight of all components is less than 25 pounds.
The C121 Antenna consists of two log periodic dipole arrays which are located 90 degrees from each other and share the same center axis. Each array consists of five dipoles which have the proper length and spacing ratio required of an efficient log periodic array. A parasitic director is located at the front end of the array to obtain the proper gain.
The AS-3568/G has been selected for the high gain antenna application for use with the VSC-7 radio.
