It is extremely rugged, designed for lightning protection, and has provisions for 110 volt hazard lighting. It is completely encased in a very low silhouette fiberglass radome which can handle winds of 110 knots while sustaining three (3) inches of radial ice. It is intended for use in rugged, open and ungraded terrains.
Its high gain, extremely high power handling, and omnidirectional pattern make it ideal for use in situations where rugged, quickly erectable communications are needed.
The proprietary design yields an elevation beam which points upwards at 5 degrees independent of frequency. This feature makes it excellent for use in ground-to-air communications.
