Designed for versatility, it functions seamlessly in mobile or fixed-base environments and integrates with aircraft-specific flight performance models and data transfer systems. The latest deployed version operates on an Android tablet secured with the Knox security wrapper, and it can also serve effectively as a standalone tool for mission planning or in-flight replanning.
FULL-FEATURED MISSION PLANNING
FMP supports traditional pre-flight mission planning, in-flight tactical replanning and post-flight debriefing. FMP provides open interfaces to third-party aircraft performance models and platform-specific data loader media for seamless integration of platform-specific features.
FMP is powered by the battle-proven FliteScene software digital map. FliteScene provides very high-resolution processing and image rendering as well as a wide range of terrain and operational predictive capabilities. FMP is designed for the changing needs of today’s military and civilian agencies. It supports rotary-and fixed-wing aircraft as well as unmanned vehicle operations and is configurable to allow integration in even the most resource-limited systems.
A complete route planning application, FMP interfaces with any onboard OpenGL-based mapping engine in addition to the FliteScene software map. The planner provides both terrain and mapping views of multiple flight plans, calculates and displays vehicle performance data (time, distance, fuel, etc.) relative to the flight plan. It imports and exports Common Route Definition for interoperability with other users and mission planning tools (AMPS/JMPS, FalconView, ForeFlight). A robust user interface, developed with user support, provides intuitive planning and display. User-accessed lookup tables provide rapid ‘what-if’ planning, facilitate the creation of multiple routes and recall the previous plans.
