GMLRS

Overview

GMLRS fires surface-to-surface rockets and has been highly effective in recent combat operations. L3Harris is the only company that produces both steel- and composite-cased motors for GMLRS, which has a range of more than 70 kilometers.

L3Harris has delivered more than 35,000 steel- and composite-cased GMLRS motors.

As part of a $215.6M cooperative agreement the company signed with the Department of Defense to support increased demand for tactical missiles, L3Harris is building a new 60,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art GMLRS facility at its Camden, Arkansas, site. The new facility will consolidate GMLRS production, which previously took place between three buildings, reducing the distance motors travel by 80%.
