N79-3 Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna (CRPA)

The N79-3 is a seven-element design and when used with appropriate seven-channel beamformers, will provide jamming resistant GPS reception through a combination of null forming and beam steering. Each of the antenna elements within the N79-3 provides independent right-hand circularly polarized (RHCP) pattern performance and is M-code compliant.

The N79-3 has been designed for flight operations on a wide range of aircraft up to and including supersonic strike aircraft. A one-piece, structurally reinforced, molded radome provides exceptional resistance to high vibration and acoustic noise levels while providing the homogeneity required for consistent antenna element-to-element tracking (ensuring maximum null depths).

The N79-3 is the antenna of choice for next-generation anti-jam GPS systems and has proven fully compatible with all beamforming electronics with which it has been tested.
