Strategic SATCOM

L3Harris is designing and delivering the next-generation of strategic military satellite communications terminals for the U.S. Army's Modernization of Enterprise Terminals (MET) program. A network of SATCOM terminals will form the backbone for the U.S. military’s high-priority global communications and missile defense systems.

L3Harris is replacing aging strategic satellite communications infrastructure around the world with new, simultaneous X- and Ka-band terminals. These modern systems, capable of interfacing with new satellite constellations like Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS), as well as legacy satellite networks, will ensure the integrity of U.S. military satellite communications, increase bandwidth 250%, reduce costs and shore up global strategic capabilities for the mission challenges that lie ahead.

The Modular Aperture Quad-band Antenna (MAQA) and Seeker™ tactical terminals are highly portable, require no tools for assembly and are easy to train and use. Seeker terminals can even be checked as luggage on most commercial aircraft. They range in size from 3.8 meters to 0.45 meters and are compliant with MIL-STD-810 for temperature, shock and vibration.
