Taking Innovation to New Depths with L3Harris’ Unmanned Underwater Vehicles

Unmanned technologies continue to evolve in every domain and L3Harris remains a pioneer in unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) that perform a range of commercial and defense missions.

Over the past 15 years, L3Harris has built the first commercially developed family of low-cost UUVs known as the Iver, ideal for coastal applications such as sensor development, general survey work, sub-surface security, research and environmental monitoring. Built with leading-edge technology and a battlespace understanding, the Iver family of vehicles are capable, modular and reliable.

Our latest UUV innovations include the Iver4 900, a 9-inch diameter next-generation vehicle that can reach depths of 300 meters and offers long duration and open systems to address a wide variety of missions, including commercial and defense applications such as long-range survey, multi-domain intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), anti-submarine warfare (ASW), seabed warfare and mine warfare.

We recently unveiled the newest addition to the Iver family, the compact Iver4 580, a 5.8-inch diameter advanced UUV that has been designed to fit a full suite of sensors while maintaining a small mission footprint.  Our team announced this new product in a recent webinar hosted by our Iver team.
