A silver level sponsor for the second year running, L3Harris helps Team Forces/Team Army to fund sport, challenge and adventure-based activities that aid the health and wellbeing of serving and ex-military personnel. Part of the sponsorship also involves a contribution to the charity’s ‘good causes’ fund, which offers life-changing grants to groups and communities that enable them to partake in impactful and challenging activities. This includes helping to rebuild the lives of wounded, injured and sick (WIS) veterans through rewarding experiences they may not have previously had access to.
Making a Difference to the Armed Forces Community
Sponsoring Team Forces/Team Army provides an important opportunity for L3Harris to further its efforts in giving back to the Armed Forces community and supporting those who risk their lives to defend our nation. It enables our people to better connect with the individuals our equipment helps to protect and see first-hand the impact the charity has on their mental and physical wellbeing.
“As a forces friendly employer, L3Harris maintains a strong affiliation with the Armed Forces community and supports those who have served or are serving,” Vice President for L3Harris’ Intelligence and Cyber International division, Ian Menzies said. “By renewing our silver sponsorship with Team Forces, we hope to continue making a positive difference to the inspirational people who make our world safer.”
L3Harris in Tewkesbury, UK was recognised for its dedication to the Armed Forces community and advocacy of the UK Armed Forces Covenant’s values in 2022. This aligns perfectly with our own mission to improve health, wellbeing and recovery in the Armed Forces community. Together, we will help the best get better.”
