Hundreds of L3Harris employees cheered on the team with “Go Falons”-emblazoned t-shirts and enthusiastic support. It is the third year the academy hosted L3Harris Night to recognize the company and Colorado-based employees.
“It was a great night to celebrate our employees and support the Falcons,” said Joel Nelson, Senior Director of Business Development and Strategy, L3Harris. “This event underscores the important relationship between our company and both the Air Force and Space Force and the fact we have been supporting both services since the day they were established.”
L3Harris sponsors men’s and women’s Air Force Academy athletic programs to show support for the young men and women studying and training to be future leaders in the Air Force and Space Force. L3Harris’ relationship with the services goes back to the Army Air Corps, which purchased legacy company pilot trainers in 1934, and has continued to the present day.
Academy Superintendent Lt. Gen. Richard M. Clark presented L3Harris representatives with a commemorative jersey on the field before kickoff, thanking them for the company’s athletics support.
Upcoming L3Harris Nights for ice hockey are scheduled for Dec. 1 against Bentley, Jan. 26 against Canisius and Feb. 23 against Robert Morris and for basketball March 9 against Colorado State.
