For the ninth consecutive year, L3Harris has been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), receiving a score of 100% on the 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index (CEI).
The HRC recently released the 2023-2024 list, which rates companies based on LGBTQ+-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ+ community.
“We are honored to receive the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index recognition,” said Carmen Robertson, VP Talent, Equity & Inclusion, L3Harris. “It is a testament to our commitment to championing diversity, ensuring equality and creating a safe and supportive environment. We recognize that this is a continuous journey, and we pledge to keep pushing forward, creating a workplace where everyone can thrive and feel valued.”
In 2023, L3Harris took the following actions to support the LGBTQ+ community both at work and in local communities:
- Published our first LGBTQ+ Benefits Guide for all employees, which outlines important information relevant to our LGBTQ+ employees and furthers our values of inclusion within our company.
- Launched an enterprise-wide voluntary LGBTQ+ self-identification tool that allows employees to confidentially self-identify.
- Flew the rainbow flag during Pride Month 2023 at locations across the country, including Corporate Headquarters in Melbourne, Florida.
- The L3Harris Pride Employee Resource Group (ERG) hosted LGBTQ+ 101 training workshops, which offered opportunities for employees to learn about issues that the LGBTQ+ workforce faces and enabled allies to become advocates for change.
