L3Harris has signed a two-year agreement with Thai Airways International to provide training service on its A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS). This significant agreement is in response to the increasing demand for pilot training following the merger of Thai Smile Airways into the parent company Thai Airways International.
The FFS training will be carried out at L3Harris’ purpose-built pilot training facility adjacent to Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand.
“This strategic partnership aligns with our ambition of being the partner of choice for top tier airlines across the globe,” said David Coward, GM & VP Training Services at L3Harris. “Thai Airways is hugely respected within the industry and the fact they’ve signed a two-year agreement is testament to the quality of our facilities and instructors.”
The first Thai Airways pilots began their training in January 2025 with both companies committed to a two-year contract.
L3Harris has a proven track record of delivering effective and customized training solutions to airlines and leasing companies worldwide. Its FFS provides pilots with realistic and immersive training scenarios, ensuring they are well-prepared to excel in the cockpit.
