Overview
Our acoustic sensors facilities include a large freshwater test pond (140’ x 105’ x 30’ deep) with an enclosed instrumented test pod with a gantry onsite option. Our large freshwater test pond is used for acoustic calibration, or our air chamber is for calibrating receiving elements. The water frequency range is from ambient noise level to 400 kHz, drive levels to 12 KW and test standards traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology. We offer air calibration for receiving elements with a frequency range from 10 Hz to 1 kHz. All transducers can be performance-validated with any of these calibrated test facilities. Typical transducers using these facilities are TR-302, TR-317, TR-343, TR-355, TR-232, TR-233, AQS-20, Model 610, TB29, LWWAA, ALOFTS, towed array hydrophones, fish finding sonar and more.
